They are also very expensive! So I decided to make some when my kids asked for buns. These can also be eaten as rolls or like bread. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recipe:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3\/4 cup cassava flour (UPDATE: I&#8217;m trying to a low heavy metal option, now that we know the level of heavy metal risk)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 tablespoons ground flax seeds or psyllium husk powder <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 large pasture raised eggs <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 cup applesauce <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon aluminum-free baking powder  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon sea salt (see my <a href=\"https:\/\/cleangreentoxicantfree.com\/index.php\/2020\/09\/15\/salt-with-lower-lead-and-heavy-metals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">low lead salt guide<\/a>). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Combine all the ingredients and mix until the dough is smooth. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Divide the dough into four equal parts and shape each into a round ball (if the dough is sticking, coat your hands in oil and then shape the dough). You can make other shapes too. Pat the round buns down into a dome shape.
